WELCOME TO THE RIOT!

Greeting comrades,
Welcome to the Toronto Toy Riot Newsletter!
We are now just over TWO WEEKS AWAY from the show!
We’re busting out chops over here at TTR Headquarters!
Here’s this week’s Rundown:
Toronto Toy Riot is 100% FREE TO ATTEND.
We believe that toys are an accessible and ubiquitous media form, whether it be contemporary toys, vintage toys, or the hand made art toys and designer toys of the indie toy community!
As part of our commitment to accessibility, we are hosting Toronto Toy Riot as a 100% free to attend event! That means you can just stroll right in and support the artists! No tickets, no wristbands, no hand stamps!
That means anyone interested in attending the event can attend regardless of demographic or income level!!!
Curious about art toys and what this community is all about? Come by and check it out!
Event Hours, and Venue Location!
Toronto Toy Riot is on May 2nd and 3rd!!!!
Show Hours:
Saturday, May 2nd: 12pm-7pm
Sunday, May 3rd: 12pm-5pm!
The event is taking place at the TRANZAC CLUB, at 292 Brunswick Ave, Toronto, ON M5S 2M7

Right in the heart of Toronto’s Annex Neighbourhood, the Tranzac has long been a site for indie art and culture in the city! They host the Toronto Zine Library on the second floor, and host events such as Paper Jam - an annual zine event that brings together creators working in print media that we believe is a kindred event to our own!
Note that parking is limited near the venue to street parking (we recommend trying to find parking on a nearby side street!). If you are travelling by public transit, the venue is located between Spadina and Bathurst subway stations - be sure to check the TTC’s website for service notifications, as we know - the TTC sometimes shuts down parts of the Subway network on Weekends URGGGGH
Toronto Toy Riot Floor Plans and Vendor info:
For a full list of our vendors at the show, please visit their profiles, here:
https://www.torontotoyriot.ca/artists2026
You can now locate your favourite vendors on our floor plans!

We will be occupying two rooms at the Tranzac.
The main hall will feature all of our vendors, and the smaller living room will be home to our Kitbash Table (Where you can make your own art toys!), as well as our community table - which will include over a dozen artists from around the world who have sent us their work for the show!
Also, the living room will feature some comfy seating if you need a break to chill out, as well as Yoyo’s Bootleg Bodega, a small table featuring knock off and bootleg toys from around the world!
If you want a higher res version of the floor plan to review, it will be posted on the main page of our website as a PDF file imminently!
FIRST 15 attendees will get a FREE Toronto Toy Riot Tote Bag FULL of Goodies!
If you get to the show early on Saturday, May 2nd, we will be giving the first 15 people through the door a free Toronto Toy Riot Tote Bag, full of goodies including stickers, zines and a mini-toy riot exclusive playset! What is it? You’ll have to get there early to find out!
The Totes are high quality black cotton totes with our logo hand silkscreened in bright pink!
Totes will also be available for sale alongside TTR T-Shirts! All proceeds from our merch sales go towards financing the event, including snacks for artists, and other costs!
Show your support for indie toys and events with a tote and / or t-shirt!

Call For Volunteers! Volunteer, Get a T-shirt!
Running events can be difficult - and we’re a very small team.. So we thought we would reach out and ask for some folks for support through volunteering!
We could use help with postering and postcard distribution, and some extra bodies to help everything run smoothly during the event. Moving tables, relieving Toy Riot staff at their tables when needed, supervising the Kitbash Table, where people will be making their own Art Toys, etc
If you are interested in volunteering, we can ply you with snacks, pizza, and our gratitude! More than that, volunteer for us and we’ll give you a Toronto Toy Riot T-Shirt of your preferred size to wear at the event, and to keep afterwards!
If you are interested in helping out the show and supporting our community through volunteering, please visit https://www.torontotoyriot.ca/volunteer and fill out the form! We’ll follow up with you via email!
